5 Purrfect Cat Websites For Feline Lovers

I am quite fortunate when it comes to the Internet. Not only is English my first and only language, but I adore cats. And cats are adored on

the internet. I’m not sure why, but cats appear to be the preferred animal among the InterWeb populace. Dogs? They’re treated as second-class citizens and are only truly accepted when they’re still puppies and they can’t check out online casino reviews. Nobody cares after they reach maturity.

Cats can be found everywhere online, including images posted by friends on social networking sites, funny photos on Reddit, cat-centric Tumblr blogs, and even here on MakeUseOf. Oh, and there’s Nyan Cat. There are entire websites dedicated to our feline pals, eight of which are included below. Some you might have heard about, while others are new to you.

LOLCats

There are other cat websites dedicated to LOLCats, but this is my personal favorite. A LOLCat is an image of a cat with text added to make it hilarious. The text is frequently composed of grammatically incorrect pidgin English.

The Internet is full of memes that come and go, but this one has been around for years just as https://gmcnation.org/ has been around for a while. This domain is actually part of the I Can Has Cheezburger? network, which originated as a popular LOLCat phrase.

Stuff On My Cat

Stuff On My Cat is a website that taps into a habit that many cat owners have unintentionally discovered at some point throughout their life. The cat is asleep as adorable as always. It’s almost as if he or she invites you to put odd objects on its body.

Cats are remarkably calm and forgiving when you put things on them, especially if they’re sluggish on a hot day. How much can you gently place on your feline friend before he or she becomes irritated enough to show their claws?

Cat Bounce

Cat Bounce has been online for a long time, but it never gets boring. I come across it from time to time and spend at least five minutes watching these frozen feline cutouts bounce around as if they’ve overdosed on catnips. And I suspect you will as well.

Cats That Look Like Hitler

The title of this cat website pretty much says it all. Yes, this is a domain dedicated to collecting and sharing photographs of cats that resemble Hitler. And a surprising percentage of cats resemble the long-dead Nazi.

You may unknowingly have a cat that resembles Hitler. If it has a white face with black fur that looks like a severe side parting and a little mustache, you (and your cat) can join the club.

Simon’s Cat

Simon’s Cat is a cartoon strip and video series made by Simon Tofield, a British animator (and self-proclaimed cat lover). It stars Simon’s cat, who harasses his owner while engaging in all of the typical cat behaviors.

The character is expertly portrayed, like a caricature of this domesticated moggy. The website includes YouTube videos, book previews, games, and a shop full of Simon’s Cat merchandise.
